About Us

Open Door Community Church, which began in 1930 as the Prince Albert Church of the Nazarene, has a long and rich history. We are located near downtown Prince Albert, just across the street from the Federal Court House and at the top of the viaduct that leads to the downtown core.

We are a member church of the Church of the Nazarene International, a growing denomination with over 12,000 congregations in over 130 countries. Our denomination has 57 schools of higher education serving over 30,000 students. The Church of the Nazarene also sponsors 170 Compassionate Ministry Centres around the world, including our own FRESH START MINISTRIES, serving the needs of the poor and disadvantaged.
